Information on Registration and Abstract Submission

 The completed downloadable Registration Form (scroll down) should be Emailed to the Treasurer, Prof N.S. Allen at: norman_allen@sky.com and c.c. the Chair, Prof S. Al-Malaika at: S.Al-Malaika@Aston.ac.uk


(NB: There is a limited attendance for this conference so early registration is encouraged)



Once registration form is received an invoice will be sent out with payment details.

Registration and payment

  1. All payments must be made in GBP (£).
  2. All bank transfers must specify the full name of the paying delegate and their affiliation and 
  3. The payment must include ALL bank transfer charges.
  4.  Delegates are encouraged to register early and make the ‘Early Bird’ date of 

                29th January 2024 for the lower Fee .

  1. Once the delegate completes the registration form, an invoice/payment details will be sent out by the Treasurer, Professor Norman Allen.
  2. Registered delegates with an accepted Oral presentation must make full payment of registration fee by the payment cut-off DEADLINE DATE of MAY 27th 2024. Later payments could lead to withdrawal of the paper from the program, or may not be possible to guarantee its inclusion in the programme although  it may beplaced on areservation list 
  3. Registration fee includes in total for 3 days, theatre, water, pen, notepad, mics, 4 coffee breaks, snacks, 1 lunch and a Gala dinner.  Venue for talks is in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.  Full details will be e-mailed to all participants before the conference as well as the abstracts booklet. 
  4. Registration fee for accompanying persons includes refreshments and lunch.
  5. Registration fee is set at a one subsidised rate fee for all participants inclusive of post-doctoral and PhD students. 
  6. For all presenting delegates, if advanced payment is not met, their accepted presentation could be withdrawn .
  7. No refunds are issued during the conference for delegates wishing not to take the refreshments or meals as the Hotelwould have already catered and charged for this service provision.

Abstract submission

Abstracts should be brief and no longer than one page A4 including figures in WORD FORMAT.

  • Oral talks are allocated a 20 minutes (plus 5 min. Q/A). 
  • Please note Physical Posters are not available at this PDDG Conference, instead Poster talks are allocated  10 min. followed by Q/A.

Cancellation policy

If cancellation and refund request is made before March 30th in writing delegates are entitled to a full refund less £100 administration costs charge. After this date the full fee will be payable. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the PDDG meeting, the conference officers and organisers are not liable whatsoever for any conference expenses for related travel or other expenses incurred by delegates before the cancellation date. By registering for the conference the delegate accepts the conditions given including payment and cancellation policy.
