| Travel advice for Conference 2009 in Sestri Levante | |
| Latest News & Information on Friday 30th of July 2010 | |
I think that from the three Milan airports (Malpensa, Orio al Serio, and Linate), the best way is to take first a bus connecting every 20 minutes the airports with the Central Station (about 5-6 km from Linate and about 35-45 km from Orio al Serio and Malpensa respectively; from Linate it is also possible to use the metropolitan transport means, that is buses and subway, with 1 Euro ticket). 1 km distance (one can easily get a taxi), for the Vis à Vis hotel, and even less for Villa Balbi, Grand Hotel, and the others. Please ask to the Vis à Vis Hotel (they are reading the present message) if they may provide a shuttle bus, at least for people residing there. The distance of Sestri Levante from Milan is about 200 km; so it is certainly expensive to get a taxi (one has to pay the round trip). Option 2: From Genoa Airport The Genoa airport (Voltri) is nearer (about 60 km from Voltri to Sestri Levante). But also here, the best solution is to take the train from Genova Piazza Principe or Genova Brignole to the final destination. |
